In this section, we will deal with the most commons mistakes on the relationship with the designer. Being familiar with them will prevent you from making them and this is very interesting since the design work necessarily requires a good relationship between customer and designer. Let's see what should not happen.
- The designer should not wait for the customer's instructions to set down to work. Although it is true that it is highly necessary for the customer to say what it is that he wants, the designer cannot be slave to those instructions to do his job. This slavery may happen due to designer's insecurity or the customer's order. In any case, it is negative and must be avoided.
- The customer must always express himself well. From the beginning of the relationship, the customer must be very clear when explaining what he wants. Otherwise, the designer's hands will be tied. Both at the beginning of the work and during its process, the designer will ask the customer what he thinks or what he wants, and the customer must do his best to be clear and be understood. If that does not work, the project will not be lead to a safe harbor.

- The arrogant designer who does not listen to the customer is making a double mistake. Firstly, the mistake is treating somebody like that. Secondly, turning deaf ears will only make the customer systematically reject everything the designer shows him, since that is not what he is expecting.
- The customer who designs poses problems because he is not the one in charge of using graphic tools. The designer has his own way of doing his job and he cannot adjust to how his customers design. The customer needs to restrict himself to explain what he wishes and hire a designer that he thinks has a design style similar to the one he likes.
